The church council is the governing body of our church and is made up of the following committees:
The Executive committee which consists of the 4 officers of the church council plus the Pastors, they are responsible for the budget and all paid staff except the Pastors.
In addition Peace currently has committees that are responsible for the following areas, Evangelical Outreach, Worship, Youth, Building and Grounds, Planning, Communications, Stewardship, Fellowship, Social ministry and Adult Education.
The council currently meets the second Thursday of each month with the executive committee meeting prior to the full council meeting. Occasionally as issues are brought forth the executive committee or full council will meet more frequently. The Council positions are three year terms, although you are not required to hold the same position all three years and usually 5 terms expire each year.
I would encourage everyone to take the opportunity to get to know a little more about your church and give back to Peace by serving on the church council.
